Faculty Receive "A Warning, and an Opportunity to Change Course"

WASHINGTON - s4story -- Faculty at the George Washington University [GWU] has just received an email alerting them to a new website which purports to document how GWU professors allegedly fueled a campus crisis by excusing terrorism, spreading antisemitic rhetoric, and radicalizing students.

It cites a Department of Justice finding that GWU was "deliberately indifferent" to antisemitic harassment, and violated federal civil-rights law, reports public interest law professor John Banzhaf of GWU.

The website names - and provides pictures of  - more than half a dozen GWU professors whom it says are responsible.  This could trigger problems - including possible harassment - for those the website singles out, warns Banzhaf.

The email warns that "George Washington cannot afford to protect those who glorify Hamas while its reputation, finances, and compliance hang in the balance. The evidence is clear, and inaction will only bring harsher federal intervention and lasting damage to the university's standing."

It is not clear what if any impact this email and the associated new website may have on GWU's faculty, although some have previously expressed concerns about the need to better protect its Jewish students.

Reaction among GWU students - and whether similar emails were sent to any students or student organizations -  is also unknown; especially since this development has not been reported in the GWU student newspaper.
