ORPALIS Imaging Technologies released an updated version of their free scanning tool Virtual Barcode Reader, along with a brand new website dedicated to the productivity tool.
MURET, France - s4story -- Virtual Barcode Reader is a free application to scan barcodes directly on a computer screen, on documents and online. It is a simple and intuitive tool with a minimalist approach: only the essential features are present, and there is no interface.
First released in 2015, the ORPALIS Team has recently updated and enhanced the solution thanks to users' feedback. Version 1.2.0. now includes an improved version of the engine and a dedicated website.

- Application is fully integrated into the Windows system tray (No GUI).
- The cursor has a rectangular detection shape.
- Hovering over a barcode will instantly read it.
- Barcode type selection is possible before reading.
- The size of the detection area can be adjusted.
- Barcode result is shown in the Windows notification bar.
- Output the result to clipboard or an active window.
