Palmer Lake Wine Festival To Build Bridges in Small Mountain Community, Highlight Local Businesses
S For Story/10664610
After a divisive year in Palmer Lake, the organizer of the Palmer Lake Wine Festival seeks to build bridges in his small Colorado community. Scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025, the wine festival will support Colorado wineries, local vendors and small businesses. Proceeds from the annual Palmer Lake Wine Festival assist Tri-Lakes Cares, a non-profit helping neighbors in need. Early Bird tickets and volunteer sign-ups are now available for this signature Colorado wine festival.
PALMER LAKE, Colo. - s4story -- The Palmer Lake Wine Festival is back for a sixth year, an important milestone for the small community in northern El Paso County. Scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025, organizer and co-founder Matthew Hexter says this year's wine festival can be a significant bridge builder for the community of Palmer Lake.
Hexter explains, "The past year has been a very challenging one for our neighbors in Palmer Lake. It's a small town so the necessary conversations about the possibility of a Buc-ee's have been difficult at times. I really hope the upcoming Palmer Lake Wine Festival can bring residents, small businesses, and Tri-Lakes Cares together to again pull off the best wine festival along the Front Range, just to show off how great Palmer Lake really is."

Since its inception in 2019, the Palmer Lake Wine Festival has welcomed 1,200 ticket holders to sample wines from over 20 Colorado wineries. Guests enjoy local food trucks, artisan vendors, and live music with views of scenic Ben Lomond Mountain. The festival has partnered with Tri-Lakes Cares, a local non-profit that serves community members in need with food, transportation, housing, and medical assistance.
"From the beginning, a portion of the proceeds from every Palmer Lake Wine Festival has gone to Tri-Lakes Cares because they play such an important role to neighbors in our community," Hexter continues. "I'm proud to say our donations have exceeded $16,000." At the festival, Tri-Lakes Cares' volunteers staff a concierge booth, provide bottled water to ticketed guests, and serve in key roles to ensure a smooth event.
Hexter is also the owner and vintner of Evergood Wines, a winery that makes wine from lemons, not grapes, in Palmer Lake. To date, Evergood has donated over $48,500 through its Exclusive Winery Tour program and various military, youth, and school events.

Because the Palmer Lake Wine Festival highlights local businesses, other small business owners have echoed the sentiment that this year's festival will be a "bridge builder" in the community. To participate, Hexter recommends attending the festival, signing up for a volunteer shift, or getting involved as a sponsor. It's a great way to support Tri-Lakes Cares, local small businesses, and ultimately, the residents of Palmer Lake.
