Pete Brown Junior Tennis Program Launches Tech Center in LA with Support From Acer
S For Story/10652916
LOS ANGELES - s4story -- The Pete Brown Junior Tennis Program has opened its first Community Technology Center at Jackie Tatum / Harvard Recreation Center, thanks to a generous donation from Acer America. The center provides critical technology access to underserved children in South Los Angeles, marking a significant milestone for the program.
Located within a Los Angeles Police Department Community Safety Partnership (CSP) sub-station, the technology center offers a safe environment for children to complete homework, learn digital skills, and enjoy recreational online activities. Acer America donated a full range of technology, including Chromebooks, TravelMate laptops, gaming PCs, and monitors.
"This tech center is a game changer for our young athletes and students," said Marty Woods, Executive Director of the Pete Brown Junior Tennis Program. "By providing in demand technology in a safe, supportive environment, we're empowering our kids to explore new opportunities, enhance their academic skills, and prepare to be future champions on and off the court. This isn't just about computers or tennis – it's about opening doors and changing the trajectories for children in our community."
