Michael Berube Foundation named Person of the Year; Culture Pop and North Fork Potato Chips join as food and beverage partners.
BELLMORE, N.Y. - s4story -- Long Island Crisis Center (LICC) recently announced that registration is open for its 18th Annual Suicide Prevention Walk to be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, on the Long Beach Boardwalk in Long Beach, NY.
The walk is one of Long Island's most visible mental health awareness events, bringing together hundreds of community members, families, and advocates each Fall. All proceeds fund LICC's free, 24/7, high-quality, confidential programs and services to support and empower Long Islanders at critical times in their lives.
Since 1971, LICC has been a dependable community resource to Long Islanders. Last year, LICC counselors responded to nearly 26,000 calls across seven crisis hotlines.
The organization's community education program brings mental health workshops directly into classrooms in Nassau and western Suffolk County.
