AUGUSTA, Ga. - s4story -- Local author, data scientist, and twenty-one-year Army veteran Dr. Jacob Cox, has released his debut book, titled Transition Time: A Veteran's Guide to a Thriving Transition. While in the U.S. Army, Jacob rose from private first class to major while obtaining his B.S., masters, and Ph.D. degrees and adopting some exceptional wealth-building habits. Now that he has transitioned and thriving, Jacob is seeking to help other veterans do so too.
Transition Time: A Veteran's Guide to a Thriving Transition leads service members through the process of transitioning from the military into their ideal career while building wealth to ensure it is not always needed. Jacob's book guides service members to identify their perfect job and then create the plan to obtain it. His book additionally emphasizes wealth-building strategies that veterans can immediately use no matter where they are in their military journey to create the wealth they need to thrive in their post-military life.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
A retired Army Cyber Officer and lead data scientist for the government, Dr. Jacob Cox spent over twenty-one years in the U.S. Army deciding what he wanted to be when he grew up. Along the way, he rose from the rank of private first class (E-3) to major (O-4) while picking up a Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University, a master's degree from Duke University, and a Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of technology. His published research papers in education, cyberspace, engineering, and computer science have also received hundreds of citations in scientific journals and conferences. Before leaving the military, Jacob picked up some excellent investing strategies as well. As a professed Christian, a husband of 25 years, a lover of learning and cats, and an investor, Jacob possesses a firm understanding of what it takes to thrive following military service. That is what he shares in his debut book, Transition Time: A Veteran's Guide to a Thriving Transition.
