S For Story/10706344
South Florida author and NovaTek Business Solutions founder Johnny Jean-Baptiste releases a memoir and plain-language AI guide in English and French, showing everyday people and small business owners how to use Claude, ChatGPT and AI assistants.
LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. - s4story -- NovaTek Business Solutions announces the October 27, 2026 release of From Rural Haiti to AI: How Claude, ChatGPT and AI Assistants Can Change Your Life and Your Business by Johnny Jean-Baptiste. The book is available in English and in French as De la campagne haïtienne à l'intelligence artificielle (IA), in paperback and ebook.
Jean-Baptiste was born in 1968 in Gaspard, a village in Haiti's Northwest with no electricity, where he studied by kerosene lamp. He spent six years out of school, finished high school at 26, came to Florida in 2004 and learned English at 35. He went on to earn three bachelor's degrees from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, and is completing a Doctor of Business Administration in Finance at Liberty University. A former banker at JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America, he brings more than a decade of experience teaching financial management at Palm Beach State College.

The book has three parts. Roots tells his story. Tools explains, in plain language, what AI is, how to ask it good questions, how to use it for money and family life, and how to avoid scams. Build shows small business owners how to use AI for marketing, back-office work and even building apps without being a programmer, and ends with a 30-day plan.
"My mother always told me the only thing she could give me was an education," said Jean-Baptiste. "AI is the most powerful learning tool I have ever seen, and I wrote this book so that people who started like me are not left behind."
Jean-Baptiste is the founder of NovaTek Business Solutions, maker of NovaTek AI, a business management app for small businesses that works in English, French, Haitian Creole and Spanish. Palm Beach State College News recently featured the book.
