NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - s4story -- Rotary District 7475 has announced the approval of 40 district grant projects for the 2026–2027 Rotary year. The projects represent nearly $200,000 in community investment and will bring meaningful assistance to people throughout northern and central New Jersey.

The Rotary Foundation approved the projects on September 17, 2026, allowing participating Rotary clubs to begin their work immediately.

The grants include $42,000 from The Rotary Foundation and an additional $31,000 in supplemental funding from Rotary District 7475. Local clubs will combine these funds with their own financial contributions, volunteer service and community partnerships.

"This year's grant projects demonstrate what becomes possible when Rotarians work together and generously support The Rotary Foundation," said District Governor Joe Nastus. "These projects will create lasting impact for children, families, veterans, older adults and communities across our district."

The approved initiatives address a wide range of community needs, including:

• Fighting hunger and supporting local food pantries
• Providing winter clothing, backpacks and essential supplies
• Expanding literacy and educational opportunities
• Supporting scholarships and youth development
• Improving access to mental health and suicide-prevention resources
• Assisting veterans and economically challenged families
• Purchasing lifesaving medical equipment and providing CPR training
• Creating inclusive recreational and sensory experiences

Among the funded projects are dictionary and literacy programs, food-distribution initiatives, student scholarships, a sensory playground, Chromebook access, senior nutrition and social-wellness programs, a youth mental health assembly, a veterans' comfort and care initiative, and support for emergency medical equipment.

"These grants are made possible because Rotary members choose to give," said Jeannie Tsukamoto, Rotary District 7475 Foundation Chair. "Every contribution to The Rotary Foundation helps clubs turn compassion into service and service into measurable community impact."
