PHOENIX - s4story -- San Joaquin Valley College (SJVC) will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its Phoenix campus on Thursday, April 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event will take place at 8836 N 23rd Ave, Bldg B, Phoenix, AZ 85021.
Community members, local leaders, and campus representatives are invited to attend the ceremony, which will include remarks from campus leadership, opportunities to tour the facility, and light refreshments.
"The opening of the SJVC Phoenix campus represents an important step in expanding access to career-focused education in Arizona," said Ron Gardner, Vice President of Operations at SJVC. "This campus is designed to support students with hands-on training that aligns with workforce needs in the region."
The SJVC Phoenix campus offers career training programs in Electrical Technology and Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC-R). These programs are designed to provide hands-on training and practical skills to help prepare students for entry-level careers in the trades.
"The ribbon-cutting ceremony is an opportunity to welcome the community and showcase the learning environment where students will build practical skills for careers in the skilled trades," Gardner added.
