Six-Story Coral Gables Hotel Cleaned by Drone in Three Days While Guests Stayed
S For Story/10706500
Vista Drone Cleaning soft-washed every facade elevation and cleaned every exterior window of the Courtyard by Marriott Miami Coral Gables in three days, with the hotel open throughout.
CORAL GABLES, Fla. - s4story -- Vista Drone Cleaning, a South Florida exterior cleaning company, has soft-washed the facade on every elevation and cleaned every exterior window of the Courtyard by Marriott Miami Coral Gables, a six-story, L-shaped hotel at 2051 South Le Jeune Road. The work took three days, and the hotel stayed open to guests the whole time.
A hotel cannot easily close a wing for a boom lift or a scaffold. The crew cleaned one elevation at a time, so only one face of the building was being worked at any point and rooms on the other sides were undisturbed.
The tethered cleaning drone, flown by FAA Part 107 certified pilots, washed the upper facade and glass with no lift, scaffold or rope. Water-fed poles covered the lower levels. The decorative block screens that run up the building are open patterns, and the drone's low-pressure spray reached into each opening from the air. Cleaning solution went on at low pressure, was given time to work, and was rinsed down starting at the roofline, so runoff never landed on a surface that had already been cleaned. Every exterior window was finished with deionized water so it dries spot-free.

The project covered roughly 60,000 square feet of facade and glass and came to about $0.13 per square foot.
"A hotel is selling rooms every night, so the cleaning has to work around the guests," said Eliot De Paz, owner of Vista Drone Cleaning. "Cleaning one side of the building at a time from the air kept the rest of the hotel undisturbed."
Vista prices commercial facade and window cleaning at $0.12 to $0.25 per square foot, with a fixed price set after a free site survey. Each drone staging position reaches up to 200 feet, about 18 stories. The full Courtyard by Marriott case study (https://vistadronecleaning.com/case-studies/courtyard-marriott-coral-gables?utm_source=prlog&utm_medium=press&utm_campaign=courtyard-coral-gables), with video from the job, is published on the Vista Drone Cleaning (https://vistadronecleaning.com) website.
