Southeast Ventura County YMCA Branches Taking Summer Camp Sign-Ups

Camp runs from June 9 to August 7 through the Simi Valley Family YMCA and from June 16 to August 15 through the Yarrow Family YMCA.
SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - s4story -- Signups for summer camp at the Southeast Ventura County YMCA branches are underway. Camp runs from June 9 to August 7 through the Simi Valley Family YMCA and from June 16 to August 15 through the Yarrow Family YMCA.
Campers in TK to 5th grade can attend day camp full-time (four to five days a week) or part-time (two to three days a week) for the entire camp session or selected weeks.
Activities include sports, swimming (under the supervision of Red Cross-certified YMCA lifeguards), arts and crafts, dance, cooking and weekly themed activities based on the campers' age group. The child-to-counselor ratio is 14 to 1.
Campers in 3rd through 6th grades (Simi YMCA) and 4th through 6th grade (Yarrow YMCA) can sign up for Adventure Camp. Adventure campers go on weekly field trips including trips to Sky Zone, Griffith Observatory, Moorpark Teaching Zoo, Underwood Family Farms and local parks.

The YMCA's Leadership In Training (LIT) program is for teens in 6th through 8th grade. LIT allows campers to build positive relationships, work with youth of all ages and assist with camp activities.
The Yarrow YMCA camp is at White Oak Elementary School (31761 Village School Rd., Westlake Village). The Simi YMCA camp is at the Atherwood Elementary School Y site (2350 E. Greensward St., Simi Valley).
Camp hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Extended care hours are 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at no additional charge.
