Southeast Ventura County YMCA Expands Summer Camp Opportunities; Registration Open

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. - s4story -- Signups for summer camp at the Southeast Ventura County YMCA branches are underway with camp locations at the Yarrow Family YMCA in Westlake Village, Simi Valley Family YMCA day camp sites and at the Conejo Valley YMCA.
"We're happy to bring summer camp back to the Conejo Valley YMCA site," Katie Oberman, Yarrow Family YMCA child care senior program director.
The Conejo Valley YMCA camp is June 15 through August 14. It offers camp for TK through 5th graders filled with day field trips, pool time at the Yarrow Family YMCA and daily themed group activities. The camp also offers Adventure Camp for 4th through 6th graders, where each week, campers take part in field trips (including the Santa Barbara Zoo, the Getty Museum, and Lake Casitas Water Park).
Summer camp through the Simi Valley Family YMCA will be at Atherwood Elementary School (2350 E. Greensward St., Simi Valley) from June 8 to August 6 for TK through 5th graders and Adventura Camp for 3rd through 8th graders.
Leadership in Training (6th through 8th graders) is offered at the Simi Valley and Conejo Valley campsites and Counselors in Training (9th and 10th graders) at the Conejo Valley site. These programs are for teens looking to build positive relationships, work with youth of all ages and assist with camp activities.

In addition, Expo Camp will take place at White Oak Elementary (2201 Alscot Ave.) in Simi Valley from June 15 to July 31 for 2nd through 5th graders, and will focus on a new topic each week including sports, theater, STEM and art. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
New this year is a Preschool Mini Camp at the Yarrow Family YMCA from June 22 through July 31 for campers ages 2 1/2 years to 5 years old. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Campers must be able to use the bathroom on their own.
A new sports-themed camp will also be held at the Yarrow Family YMCA for campers 5 to 11 years old. Each week will focus on a specific sport. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Campers can attend full-time (four to five days a week) or part-time (two to three days a week) for the entire camp session or selected weeks.
