Auction of items from the Personal Collection of Lauren Chapin better known as "Little Kitten".
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - s4story -- Sugarman Auction Corp. announces an Incredible Auction of Father Knows Best items from the personal Collection of Lauren Chapin. Lauren best known for her character Kathy Anderson on the long running show. Chapin was affectionately called "little kitten by the shows mother and father characters played by the late Robert Young and Jane Wyatt.
Lauren Ann Chapin (born May 23, 1945, Los Angeles, California) is an American former child actress, most remembered for her role as the youngest child "Kathy Anderson" (nicknamed "Kitten") in the television show Father Knows Best,[1] which was produced between 1954 and 1960. She appeared in 196 episodes of the 203 in the series. Chapin was awarded five Junior Emmys for Best Child Actress. Two of her older brothers were also child stars, Billy and Michael Chapin

There are many rare items most notably the shooting schedule and screenplay for the cult movie "The Kid from Left Field" starring Billy Chapin who plays the bat boy until he is named the head coach as a publicity stunt , with such stars as Anne Bancroft and Lloyd Bridges.

"I've never been so close to television history as when I walked into Laurens home. I was mesmerized looking at all the pictures, dresses and scripts. It was like a Fathers Knows Best museum which I remember as the most wholesome family ever ! said Scott Grasso owner of Sugarman Auctions. I know there are thousands and thousands of fans who would like to get their hands on these items. When asked how much he thought items would bring under the hammer. "I guess the buyers will decide," was his final answer.
