The Center for Contemporary Art Offers Spring In Person & Virtual Art Classes

BEDMINSTER, N.J. - s4story -- The Center for Contemporary Art is pleased to offer in person and virtual art classes and workshops this spring for adults, teens and children beginning April 5. Classes and workshops are offered for artists with all levels of expertise in a variety of media including oil and acrylic paint, pastel, watercolor, drawing, and ceramics.
The in person classes will be offered at The Center and virtual classes will be taught using the ZOOM platform. On ZOOM students will be able to see and interact with the teacher and other students, receive personal feedback and instruction from the teacher, participate in live demonstrations, and share their work and ideas. We hope these virtual classes will offer an alternative for those who feel more comfortable learning from home.
There are more than thirty spring adult classes including, "Let's Draw," "The World of Watercolor," "Pastel," "Morning Oil Landscape," "Artist Studio: Your Choice," "Portrait Drawing," "Plein Air," "Chinese Brush Painting," "Evening Painting," and ceramics classes such as "Advanced Ceramics" and "Wheel Throwing and Hand Building."

Spring workshops and seminars offer students the opportunity to try something new. They include "Watercolor for Absolute Beginners," "The Six Hour Art Major," "Adding Figures to Landscapes," "West Meets East: An Intro to Chinese Art," "Children's Book Illustration" and "The Behavior of Pigments."
In person and virtual classes are available for teens and children. For children ages 5-8 in person and virtual classes include "Painting in Depth" and "Drawing in Depth.". Students ages 9-12 can select from in person or virtual classes including "Drawing in Depth" and "Painting in Depth," as well as classes," Cartooning, Manga and Anime," and "Ceramics." Teen offerings include in person and virtual classes "Advanced Special Projects," "Scientific Exploration in Art," and "Dynamic Sketchbook."
In studio classes will also be offered for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs beginning April 12. Students will explore a variety of art projects specifically geared to their interest and ability both in two-and-three dimensional approaches.
