DETROIT - s4story -- Avanti Press will be sponsoring the Greeting Card Association's annual Workshop & Retreat in Detroit this fall. The Greeting Card Association (GCA) is a growing collective of 220+ publishers from across North America. Billion dollar companies like Hallmark and American Greetings join forces with niche greeting card publishers ranging in size from 1 to 100 people – all devoted to promoting, protecting, and preserving the greeting card industry.

The GCA holds two events in different cities every year – a curated trade event called *Noted being held in May in San Francisco, and the Workshop & Retreat, scheduled for October in Detroit.

"The GCA has chosen Detroit for the location of its annual Workshop & Retreat in 2020," says GCA President, George White. The four day event will be held at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel and is open to greeting card publishers, sales representatives and retailers. The event starts on September 30^th with a reception sponsored by Avanti Press, located in downtown Detroit.  Two days of programming on October 1^st and 2^nd will feature thought leaders and entrepreneurs, plus owners and creators with card publishers from across the country. The annual GCA open board meeting will be held on Saturday, October 3^rd.
