The Keep Studios Announces Revolution at Caster's Crossing DCC Campaign
S For Story/10689987
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - s4story -- The Keep Studios announces Revolution at Caster's Crossing, a new campaign for Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG inspired by the cultures and mythology of Mesoamerican civilizations.
Blending pulp adventure with emotional storytelling, Revolution at Caster's Crossing grew out of years of home campaigns, evolving worldbuilding, and a narrative that refused to stay small.
The Aztec and Mayan inspiration carries through every aspect of the setting, shaping its power structures and cosmology into something distinct from traditional fantasy. Systems of belief, divine authority, and cultural identity are woven into the world itself, with divine forces and patron entities actively shaping the lives and conflicts of those within it.
The entire campaign will consist of four adventure modules guiding players from level 0–5. The adventure set begins with a remastered and expanded Sword in the Jungle Deep, followed by the new Caravan to Caster's Crossing, with two additional adventures planned as stretch goals.

A Compendium of Powers and Patrons, a divine myth sourcebook filled with deity and patron options, will help players and game-masters alike explore each adventure's divine and mythological systems. There are also three new playable species, and a collection of cards and handouts designed to bring the setting to life at the table.
This story leans into emotional decisions, moral gray areas, and the idea that players aren't just passing through a world, they're shaping its history. Divine alliances can be forged or broken, stories can change direction, and the consequences of player choices ripple outward.
Revolution at Caster's Crossing will be fully illustrated, print-ready, and designed for compatibility with Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG, Shadowdark, OSR systems, and other fantasy RPG frameworks.
Through the crowdfunding campaign, backers are invited to help shape the final version, turning early concepts into fully realized explorations filled with mythical adventures, and moments players will still be talking about long after the session ends.

The BackerKit campaign will also unlock additional content, including divine sourcebooks, expanded maps, social mechanics, illustrated encounter zones, powerful artifacts, and narrative tools, along with NPC-driven side stories and companion content that deepen the world even further.
"We wanted to create a world that celebrates the mythology of the Americas, and we started with the Aztec and Mayans," says creator Ian Small. "It's a world in dark times, where players can truly make a difference, where there are real evils to defeat to remind everyone that oppressors are weak."
VIP reservations are open now! Lock in your early access starting at just $2. This rate will rise to $5 in May 2026 and continue climbing from there.
