The Kryder Law Group, LLC Recovers $1,275,000 in Two Trucking Accident Settlements
S For Story/10704737
The Midwestern personal injury law firm founded by Attorney Andrew S. Kryder delivers solid results in serious trucking cases.
CHICAGO - s4story -- The Kryder Law Group, LLC Accident and Injury Lawyers today announced the resolution of two trucking accident cases totaling $1,275,000. Both results reflect the firm's steady commitment to holding trucking companies and their drivers accountable and recovering full and fair compensation for injured victims and grieving families across the Midwest.
In the first case, a client was wrongfully killed in a hit-and-run involving a semi on Northbound I-94 near Waukegan. Piecing together several witness statements, the firm was able to identify the company who owned the tractor trailer. We then filed a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of the client's family. After conducting written discovery and depositions, the case settled for $800,000.

Initially, the trucking company denied the incident ever happened. Using tollway cameras and tollbooth charges from the truck, we established where the truck was when the collision occurred. With the speed data from the truck's Electronic Data Recorder, we were able to place the truck in the same area of the accident. This evidence, developed through meticulous work, coupled with the work of experts who were able to create an accident reconstruction established liability on the case.
In the second case, a client was sideswiped by a semi-truck that was changing lanes in Niles, Illinois. She suffered neck and back pain that required surgery, pain management injections, and physical therapy. We filed suit against the trucking company under the legal doctrine of respondeat superior alleging that the driver's negligence caused the crash and her injuries. After completing written discovery, depositions, and mediation hearings, the case settled for $475,000.

"Going up against a large trucking company can feel overwhelming for a family that has already lost so much," said Andrew S. Kryder, Founding Partner. "We prepare every case as if it's headed to trial, because that readiness is what moves these companies toward fair settlements. Our job is to carry that fight so our clients can focus on healing and moving forward."
