The Lien You Don't See Before Closing Becomes Your Problem After
S For Story/10706406
Biz Checkout's BizFacts checks a US business for liens, lawsuits, bankruptcies, tax standing and watchlist hits before buyers commit, with reports starting at $49
CHICAGO - s4story -- Buying a business often means putting your savings, your credit and your next ten years on the line. The worst surprises, like an unpaid lien, an open lawsuit or a tax problem, usually show up after the money is already spent. Biz Checkout, the Chicago marketplace for buying and selling small businesses, today announced BizFacts, a business report built to surface those facts before a buyer commits.
BizFacts comes in three tiers, and each one is the same report with more depth:
$49: a fast check for buyers who want the basics before a first call.
$249: a deeper verified report for buyers who are getting serious.
$499: the most complete version, built for buyers heading into a letter of intent or closing.
Sellers can use BizFacts too. An owner who runs a report before listing can find and fix issues early, and can share a clean report with buyers to build trust faster.
BizFacts works on its own or inside a deal on Biz Checkout. A buyer who finds a listing on the marketplace can pull a report, sign the NDA and keep the whole conversation in one Checkout. Brokers, attorneys and CPAs can also use the reports for clients on either side of a sale.

"People buy a business with their heart first. That's human. But a lien or a lawsuit doesn't care how much you love the place," said Desmond Murray Jr., founder and CEO of Biz Checkout. "I never want someone to find out at the closing table, or six months after, that they bought somebody else's problem. For the price of a nice dinner, BizFacts lets you walk in with clear eyes and protect what you've worked for."
BizFacts is available now at https://bizcheckout.com and through the Biz Checkout app on the App Store and Google Play.
