VERMILION, Ohio - s4story -- Vermilion, OH – The Mom's Choice Awards® has named The Snail and the Butterfly by literary fiction Author Doug Cooper, aka Dougie Coop for his children's literature, as among the best in family-friendly media, products, and services. The book was illustrated by acclaimed Australian artist CJ the Kid and published by Rare Bird Books based in Los Angeles, CA.
The Mom's Choice Awards evaluation process uses a proprietary methodology in which entries are scored on several elements including production quality, design, educational value, entertainment value, originality, appeal, and cost.

Filled with inspiration and motivation to pursue one's dreams, The Snail and the Butterfly is a hardcover children's book for ages 4-7 about an ambitious snail who wanted to fly and a seasoned butterfly who questioned why. With the evaluation now complete, the testing samples of the book, plush toys, and stickers will be donated to schools, libraries, hospitals, and nonprofit organizations.
