The Uk's Pet Industry Gets Its Own Public-Driven Awards — And Entries Are Open Now
S For Story/10698295
The Pet Industry Awards is calling on groomers, vets, retailers, daycares, influencers, welfare initiatives and more to enter before the 28th August deadline — and be celebrated by the public this autumn.
LONDON - s4story -- The Pet Industry Awards has officially launched its 2026 edition — the first UK-dedicated instalment of an internationally recognised awards platform that puts this country's pet businesses in front of an engaged nationwide audience of pet owners.
Businesses across every corner of the UK pet industry — from independent groomers and certified B Corps to multi-site daycare groups and pet food brands — can enter online before the 28th August 2026 deadline.
Unlike many industry awards programmes, the Pet Industry Awards is driven solely by public voting (no judges, no industry insiders) — meaning winners are chosen by the people and communities that matter most.

"The UK's pet industry is staggering — not only in its ever-expanding size, but in the passion and dedication of the businesses who build its foundations. I've found that some of the most dedicated and innovative businesses in the sector are often independent and home-grown. Naturally, they tend to be quieter than the bigger brands we all know of. We believe that every pet business that goes above and beyond should have its moment, and the Pet Industry Awards exists to give those businesses the recognition they deserve."
— Samantha Vince, Head of UK Partnerships & Events, Pet Industry Awards
The awards are built on ethical foundations: businesses involved in the sale of cats or dogs are not eligible to enter, and all entrants must be UK-registered or operating in the UK. The platform is designed to champion welfare-focused businesses that positively contribute to the ever-growing UK pet industry.

From 1st September, approved entrants can share the voting link with their audience, generating real-world reach and customer advocacy throughout the campaign.
The awards recognise both regional and national excellence, with dedicated categories for smaller, independent businesses competing within their UK region, alongside national categories for larger brands, multi-site operators and specialist services. Categories include Pet Subscriptions, Sitter Networks, Dog-Friendly Businesses, Certified B Corp Pet Brands, Animal Welfare Initiatives and a first for the UK — Pet Influencers! A full list of categories is available to browse (both national and regional level) at www.petindustryawards.com.
