$5,000 Grant to Expand Hands-On Education for 19,000+ Central Texas Students

GEORGETOWN, Texas - s4story -- Georgetown, Texas — Seeds of Strength, Georgetown's women's giving circle committed to strengthening the community through collective philanthropy, proudly announces The Williamson Museum as the recipient of the 2025 Founders Grant.

This marks the second consecutive year the organization has awarded this special $5,000 grant, created to honor Seeds of Strength's founding members and their lasting commitment to impact, stewardship and community leadership. The Founders Grant recognizes a nonprofit whose mission aligns closely with Seeds of Strength's core values and whose work demonstrates long-term, sustainable benefit to the people of Williamson County.

This year's grant will allow The Williamson Museum to significantly expand and enhance its acclaimed educational Trunk Program, which currently serves more than 19,000 Central Texas students each year. With the funding, the Museum's education team will add four new trunk topics: Native Americans of Williamson County, Women's History, Black History, and a new Bat Trunk. Funds will also help the nonprofit make essential improvements to existing materials and program delivery.

"We are very excited to be the 2025 Founders Grant recipient," said Danelle Houck, Executive Director for The Williamson Museum. "This grant allows us to broaden the stories we tell and deepen the learning opportunities we offer. With four new trunks and much-needed enhancements -more- to our program materials, we will continue serving thousands of students with hands-on history that brings Williamson County to life."

Seeds of Strength President Pam Carlson emphasized the importance of supporting educational enrichment and local cultural heritage. "Our founders believed that when women join together, we make extraordinary things happen," Carlson said. "The Williamson Museum's commitment to accessible, engaging education reflects exactly why the Founders Grant was created. We are honored to support a program that reaches so many students and preserves the diverse stories of our region."
