"The Window" Transforms a Struggle for Redemption Into a Fantastical Journey of Self Discovery
S For Story/10438839
OLATHE, Kan. - s4story -- "The Window," Kellista Rae Keaton's debut novel slated for an October 12 release, follows a young, Midwestern woman as she navigates through an abusive marriage, the loss of hope, and the struggle to find a better future.
This powerful and fantastical journey skillfully combines expert writing skills with a character driven narrative, and numerous elements of suspense. This not only intimately connects the readers with the main character's plight, but also ensures that readers will continue turning page after page just to figure out what happens next.
"The Window" is a story of redemption that will appeal to teenagers as a cautionary tale, as well as women of all ages who have dealt with, or are dealing with a difficult marriage. Furthermore, readers who have dealt with addiction and alcoholism will relate on an intimate level to this story. Mainstream audiences who enjoy an enticing beach read that contains elements of fantasy, and flawed characters who are searching for hope will also find immense pleasure from this captivating narrative. When asked about her book, Keaton explained that, "I wrote this story because I wanted to imagine what it would be like to dream of hope in a hopeless time. Often, we are flooded with dread during hard times in our life. I thought, what if I could dream about a better time? I never imagined I would release "The Window" in a time where we all need some hope!"

The enthralling tale of "The Window" follows Olivia as she journeys between reality and fantasy while trying to get a handle on her crumbling marriage with her abusive husband, Chris Brewer. As she begins to lose hope of a better life, Olivia is visited in her dreams by her future husband who promises her a happier future. These visitations happen several times, allowing her to keep despair at bay as she continues fighting with Chris, whose lies are beginning to unfold. However, it is not until two failed visits to rehab, that Olivia builds up the courage to separate from Chris. After some time alone, Olivia begins to heal, and soon enough comes face to face with the man whom she had had so many conversations with before. Or, at least, she had in her dreams.
