S For Story/10692705
Newly approved participants may have access to thousands of dollars in respite and other senior care services, from now until the program resets July 1, 2026.
OGDEN, Utah - s4story -- OGDEN, Utah — Senior Helpers of Northern Utah is proud to announce approval as Medicare GUIDE Model providers. This allows two Utah locations to deliver expanded dementia-focused in-home senior care services for eligible families.
The GUIDE Model (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience), created by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), is designed to improve quality of life for individuals living with dementia while reducing stress and burnout for caregivers.
Eligible Medicare recipients living with dementia may qualify for expanded in-home senior care at no additional cost, including respite support, and caregiver services.
"This is an incredible opportunity for families who are overwhelmed caring for a loved one with dementia," said Dr Ira Crawford, owner at Senior Helpers of Northern Utah. "Many people don't realize support may already be available through Medicare. Families who qualify may be able to receive in-home support at no additional cost beyond their standard Medicare coverage."
