VHL Alliance Welcomes New Executive Director

BOSTON - s4story -- Chandra Clark, well respected and highly-recognized leader in the non-profit community has joined the VHL Alliance as the organization's new Executive Director.  Clark is joining the VHLA team following the announcement that Ilene Sussman is stepping down from the role to retire.

Most recently, Clark has served in nonprofit leadership by developing innovative programs and creatively cultivating opportunities in the community to support the advancement of underserved populations. Her passion lies in advocating for equity in healthcare, education, and economic access to improve the health and well-being of under resourced communities.  With a diverse professional background including business and talent development, fundraising, marketing, and external relations with experience in collaborating with corporations and organizations to develop and implement multi-level projects, partnerships, programs, and community initiatives. Working for the last 15 years in Kansas City, Missouri, Clark has been recognized on numerous occasions for her contributions to the community, including being recognized as a NextGen Leaders from the Kansas City Business Journal, Young Athena Leadership Award from the Kansas City Chamber, and Most Influential Women in Kansas City Business from the Kansas City Business Journal, among others.

Clark begins starts working with the VHL Alliance on September 16, 2020 and will have a transition period with Sussman through the end of the year.
