VideoBro Brings Back the Home Movie for the iPhone Era
S For Story/10704606
A new collaborative iPhone app combines the shape and nostalgia of old camcorder tapes with cloud storage, automatic clip collection and modern sharing.
LOS ANGELES - s4story -- On August 31, 2026, brothers Doug and Drew launched VideoBro, a free iPhone app built around a simple idea: home movies were better when they felt like movies.
The camcorder gave family videos a natural shape. You put in a tape, passed the camera around, recorded moments as they happened and eventually ended up with one film of a trip, birthday, holiday or year of family life.
Smartphones made filming easier, but they also broke that experience apart. Videos now live as hundreds of short clips scattered across different phones, camera rolls, cloud libraries and hard drives.
VideoBro brings the tape back without bringing back the inconvenience.
Friends and family create one shared tape and film from their own iPhones. Videos are collected in chronological order regardless of who filmed them. When the tape is finished, VideoBro develops it into a single widescreen film that everyone on the tape can watch and share with a link.

"In a world where everyone is making content for strangers, VideoBro makes content for you and your loved ones," said co-founder Drew.
VideoBro deliberately avoids turning home movies into another editing project. There is no editing timeline to arrange and no music library to search. Clips can be trimmed or removed, but the chronology of the tape stays intact.
How VideoBro works
Start a tape. Create a tape and invite up to seven other people with a link. Guests can join without creating an account.
Film normally. Everyone keeps using the iPhone's Camera app. With REC switched on in VideoBro, horizontal videos they film are added to the shared tape automatically. Clips already on the phone can be added too.
Build the movie automatically. Clips from every phone appear together in the order they were filmed.
Develop the tape. When everyone is finished recording, VideoBro combines the tape into one widescreen movie in the cloud.
Watch anywhere. Finished movies live in each member's Tape Cabinet and can be shared through an unlisted browser link that needs no app or account to watch.

VideoBro also includes an optional VHS mode that gives playback the look of an old home-video tape.
Pricing and availability
VideoBro is free and includes 2 GB of storage, about an hour of footage. Each tape supports up to 8 people and up to 2 hours of footage. Paid plans with additional storage are planned but not yet available.
VideoBro is available for iPhone on the App Store:

Logos, screenshots, product information and App Store reviews are available in the VideoBro press kit on the VideoBro website.
