From business owners and nonprofit leaders to a Rutgers student working to protect the environment, the New Jersey authors of Today is the Day. LIVE IT! share how everyday people create real impact.

PRINCETON, N.J. - s4story -- You don't need a title to make a difference. You need to make a decision. On Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 5:30 PM, the New Jersey authors of Today is the Day. LIVE IT! Edge of Comfort to Center of Impact will share theirs at PAMTEN, 500 College Road East, Princeton, N.J. The evening will be hosted by PAMTEN CEO Chaya Pamula.

This is not a typical author talk. It is an interactive conversation with everyday changemakers, people who stepped up in their work, their communities and their lives without having every answer. Guests will hear what worked, what didn't and how to apply it to their own next move.

Strategies for Leadership, Growth and Results

Authored and compiled by Jodi Hope Grinwald, CPC, ELI-MP, and edited by Heather McCulloch, Today is the Day. LIVE IT! features changemakers from California to Uganda. Each shares what happens when you are the one who has to make the decision, set the direction, inspire the team and keep moving when the path isn't clear.

The book's New Jersey authors will lead the conversation in Princeton, sharing how they led teams through growth and uncertainty, created opportunity through relationships and strategic action, and made the one decision that changed the direction of a career, organization or life. Taking part:
  • Host: Chaya Pamula, co-founder, president and CEO of PAMTEN, and founder of SheTek
  • Heather McCulloch, editor; former Reuters journalist, president of Women and Girls Education International and certified health coach
  • Steven Cohen, author of Leading From Within and co-founder and chair of Meditation for Leadership
  • Fred Wasiak, founder and owner of Humanics Consulting, creator of Outdoors with Papa and president of Meditation for Leadership
  • Janet Kotsakis, chief people officer, Food Bank of South Jersey
  • Terese Rolke, former executive director, Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce
  • Tara Coffman, financial industry professional
  • Katie Marra, Rutgers University student in entomology and ecology who is dedicating her work to protecting the environment and bringing the next generation's voice to leadership

"Leadership rarely starts when you feel ready," said Grinwald. "It starts at the edge of your comfort zone. This book, and this conversation, are about moving from that edge to the center of your impact and doing it today."
