S For Story/10663766
LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. - s4story -- Mary's Woods is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Sr. Roswitha Frawley Educational Scholarship, established by the Mary's Woods Board of Directors in honor of Sr. Roswitha Frawley's living legacy, former Mission Integration Director at Mary's Woods.

Reflecting Sr. Frawley's commitment to lifelong learning and service, the scholarship provides financial support for a wide range of educational paths, from four-year degrees to training programs and trade schools. Launched in 2022, this initiative addresses the need for enhanced educational opportunities available as a benefit of employment at Mary's Woods, available to staff and qualifying dependents.

To celebrate their achievements and educational pursuits, recipients were invited to a special luncheon honoring their dedication to Mary's Woods and their aspirations for further education. "The Sr. Roswitha Frawley Educational Scholarship was created to honor a woman who believed deeply in the power of education—not just the kind that comes with a cap and gown, but the kind that transforms lives," said CEO Travis Duncan during the luncheon. "Sr. Roswitha reminded us that education is not a narrow path; it's a wide road open to many forms: degrees, trade schools, training programs, and even the hard-won lessons of trying something new."
