27-Year-Old AI Researcher Is Building Software to Detect Drone Swarms That Can't Be Jammed
S For Story/10699370
This founder turned his 3-year research work on drone autonomy & navigation into building Falcon Eye AI: a dual-use defense AI start-up that builds the 'Perception-first brain' that spots low-altitude aircrafts and autonomous swarm drones invisible to conventional radio-frequency defences.
SAN FRANCISCO - s4story -- Vishwa GW, 27-years-old AI researcher, working in computer vision and drone autonomy, is building a software-only counter-drone platform through his company Falcon Eye Inc. The software named as Falcon Eye is designed to detect and track drone swarms, including the autonomous, radio-silent drones that slip past conventional jamming and RF-detection systems.
Most counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) products on the market work by listening for the radio link between a drone and its operator. That approach fails against a fast-growing class of GPS-denied, fully autonomous drones that fly with no radio emission at all. Falcon Eye AI's answer is what its founder calls "the brain, not the box": a hardware-agnostic intelligence layer that fuses data from sensors an operator already owns, and turns raw detections into a live, prioritized picture of an incoming swarm.
More on S For Story
"My background is in drone autonomy and computer vision technologies. So, I understand the trend of drones becoming more vision-focused and GPS-denied. Traditional C-UAS systems are not effective against these rapidly evolving drone technologies." Said the Vishwa GW.
Falcon Eye AI is deliberate about where its software stops. The platform detects, tracks, characterizes and prioritizes threats and passes that intelligence to command-and-control systems. Tt does not compute intercepts, cue effectors, or direct any weapon. "We build the situational-awareness core," Vishwa said. "The decision to act stays with the operator and the systems they already trust."
About Falcon Eye AI
Falcon Eye AI INC. is a Delaware-incorporated defense-technology startup building the perception and situational-awareness core for counter-drone systems. Its software-only platform detects and tracks drone swarms, including RF-silent, autonomous threats, and delivers a prioritized threat picture to command-and-control systems, without closing the kill chain.
