Drawing inspiration from the photographic darkroom technique known as solarization, where images are re-exposed to light to create striking visual contrasts, La'Shone transforms the concept into a metaphor for artistic legacy.

"Just as a single light creates multiple rays, every dancer carries their own unique light," said La'Shone. "Solarization is about honoring the artists who trusted me with their stories and preserving a cultural legacy that deserves to be celebrated, remembered, and passed forward."

Guests will experience a curated photography exhibition, jazz, spoken word, storytelling and a panel exploring tap dance's influence on African American culture and contemporary artistic expression. The evening will culminate in dynamic live performance integrating tap, music, poetry, and projected imagery from the book.

A reception, celebratory toast, and book signing will follow.
