WYNNE, Ark. - s4story -- Amy Poindexter's debut children's book, Blue to the Rescue (TouchPoint Press, September 14, 2021), the first title in her A Touch of Kindness Series, teaches young readers a valuable lesson about learning from your mistakes.

About the Book
Blue to the Rescue is a story about three friends who go on an adventurous hike together. Along the way, Betty Lou, the rabbit, notices a sign on the trail path that alarms her, so she insists that they not separate. Because Gilbert, the squirrel, sees something that terrifies him, he runs ahead and becomes lost and afraid. A new friendship develops from something blue that comes to Gilbert's rescue, and in return, teaches Gilbert a valuable lesson about making poor choices.

She graduated from Wynne High School and attended Arkansas State University where she received her BSE in Elementary Education and an MSE in Gifted Education. JoAnna Willoughby is a full-time art teacher and mother to two boys. She has always enjoyed
making art but discovered her love for watercolor painting while in college. She has a B.F.A. in
Art Education and an M.S.E. in Theory and Practice, both from Arkansas State University in
Jonesboro, Arkansas.
