Alchemist to Explore the AI Leadership Execution Gap at LEARNING LIVE 2026
S For Story/10702703
Charlie Swan to examine why AI investment alone isn't translating into business results and the leadership capabilities organisations need to close the gap
LONDON - s4story -- Alchemist, a global leadership development company specialising in changing behaviour at scale through practice-led learning, will take the stage at LEARNING LIVE 2026 to explore one of the biggest challenges facing organisations investing in artificial intelligence (AI) and why AI adoption is not always translating into meaningful business results.
Charlie Swan, solutions director at Alchemist, will lead an interactive session, Your AI Problem Isn't an AI Problem: Closing the AI Leadership Execution Gap, on Wednesday, 16th September at 3:45 pm at Convene in London.
"Organisations are investing heavily in AI-enabled tools, training, knowledge bases, and internal working groups, while leaders face increasing pressure to demonstrate how those investments are creating value and transforming the business. But for many, the expected results have yet to materialise," said Swan.

According to Alchemist, the issue is often not the technology itself, but the gap between AI adoption and leadership execution.
"AI can create enormous potential, but technology alone doesn't change how an organisation operates. Leaders still have to make better decisions, change behaviours, bring people with them, and create new ways of working. If those capabilities aren't there, AI investment will struggle to translate into business performance," Swan continued.
During the session, Swan will help learning leaders identify where the AI leadership execution gap exists within their organisations and what it will take to close it. Attendees will explore the human capabilities leaders increasingly need as AI changes the way work gets done, including AI fluency, judgement, change leadership, and agency.
Participants will also leave with a practical framework for diagnosing where AI implementation is getting stuck, determining where leadership development should focus, and connecting learning strategy more directly to the business outcomes expected from AI investment.
