ST. LOUIS - Feb. 16, 2019 - s4story -- Anna Huckabee returns to the Lincoln Square Series with her new book Door of Hope.
Carly and her mom have never gotten along. Now, thirty-six, jobless, and living back at home, Carly feels like she will never get out from under her mom's thumb. When her elderly grandma's health takes a turn for the worst, the family asks Carly to help. Grandma's gentle love brings Carly out of her depression. She makes friends, sets goals, and dares to hope her dreams could come true — including her hopes for marriage and a family. Then one cruel act by her mom threatens to destroy all the progress she has made. Can Carly fight her way through loneliness and depression to find love and hope?
Anna Huckabee grew up in St. Louis, Missouri where she first discovered her passion in kindergarten. Today, she lives with her husband and six children in Uganda, East Africa. They teach and help refugees from Rwanda, Burundi, and Congo and have four churches in the refugee camp. She and her family visit the United States from time to time, but her heart is in Africa. However, she loves St. Louis so much that aspects of the city figure in many of her books.
