ANNIKA Turns a Romantic Daydream Into a Sun-Escape on New Single "That's What I'm Thinking'"
S For Story/10700787
The independent pop artist blends dreamy romance, coastal imagery and a touch of country-pop warmth on her latest release.
LONG BEACH, Calif. - s4story -- LOS ANGELES, CA — Independent recording artist ANNIKA BELLAMY has released her new single, "That's What I'm Thinking'," a warm, playful track that captures the feeling of getting completely lost in thoughts of someone and imagining where that connection could lead.
Built around an irresistible romantic daydream, "That's What I'm Thinking'" finds ANNIKA mentally escaping the grayness of everyday life and slipping into a more colorful world of ocean walks, slow-motion kisses, brilliant sunsets and blue stars overhead.
"The song is really about getting lost in your imagination when you can't stop thinking about someone," says ANNIKA. "You can be somewhere completely ordinary, but in your mind you're walking by the ocean, watching the sunset, kissing in slow motion—basically creating this whole little movie about the two of you. I loved the idea of escaping that everyday grayness and drifting into somewhere more colorful, romantic and full of possibility. 'That's What I'm Thinking'' is really that daydream put into a song."

The song's breezy romanticism is reflected in its visual world as well, pairing coastal imagery with a modern Western edge and a carefree, cinematic sense of escape. The result complements ANNIKA's evolving sound—modern pop colored by warm island, tropical and crossover influences.
"That's What I'm Thinking'" follows ANNIKA's recent single "Palm Tree," which received international radio airplay and coverage from independent music publications following its release earlier this year.
The new single arrives as ANNIKA continues building on a year that has included new music, international performances and the expansion of her audience both in the United States and abroad.
"That's What I'm Thinking'" is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and other major streaming platforms.
The single is independently released and distributed through Symphonic Distribution.
