Argus Agent Lets Truck Drivers Find Parking and Fuel Without Taking Their Hands Off the Wheel
S For Story/10704304
Argus is building the data and agents that power logistics, starting with the fleets and drivers who will let trucks buy their own fuel, parking and repairs.
LINCOLN, Neb. - s4story -- Argus AI today announced Argus Agent, an AI assistant for truck drivers and fleets that plans parking, fuel and the route around a driver's hours of service. A driver asks for what they need, and the Agent works out the plan in the background.
Drivers can ask things like "Find me parking on my route at 8pm tonight" or "Find me the next cheapest fuel stop on route," and Argus comes back with a plan that fits the truck, the route and the clock. Argus Agent covers almost 14,000 truck parking locations across the US, and drivers can reserve spots from the app. At some rest areas, Argus reads DOT camera feeds with computer vision to show how full the lot is.
Fuel works the same way. Argus optimizes the route on live data, so it looks at live fuel prices, traffic and closures along the way and picks the stop that costs the driver the least in fuel and time, instead of the one that happens to be closest.

"I ran a 25 truck fleet, and one of my drivers couldn't find parking and parked on a ramp. That night cost us 17 flat tires," said Robert Putt, founder and CEO of Argus. "Drivers still plan the most expensive parts of the day with bad data and a phone they aren't supposed to touch. Freight is moving to agents for dispatch, fuel and parking, and those agents can't see the road. We're building the agent the driver talks to and the live data underneath it."
Argus thinks that in the next few years trucks will buy their own fuel, parking and repairs through software agents, and that those agents will need live road data they can't get today. Argus combines live camera, traffic and parking data into one view. That view runs the driver app, and fleets and software partners can reach the same data through the Argus API.
For drivers, Argus Agent is available now on the App Store and Google Play for $4.99 a month. It includes truck routing built around height, weight and hazmat restrictions, parking search and reservations, and fuel stops picked on live prices along the route.
For fleets, Argus provides the same Agent to every driver in the fleet, plus API access so dispatch and fleet software can ask Argus for parking, fuel and road conditions directly. Fleets can reach the team at https://getargus.ai
Argus is a Techstars '25 company.
