ASHEVILLE, N.C. - s4story -- KayeDinero spends plenty of time around technology.

She writes software, works with Python and data, develops financial-market tools and uses digital production systems to create music.

But the Asheville-based producer says technology is only part of the story.

Her recent album is called Human Error for a reason.

"I don't want technology to remove every imperfect thing about the creative process," KayeDinero said. "Sometimes the mistake, the strange choice or the unexpected moment is what makes something feel alive."

Asheville Is Part of the Input

Since making Asheville home, KayeDinero has increasingly turned real Western North Carolina experiences into music.

Her catalog includes "Appalachia," "French Broad," "Haywood Road," "Hendersonville," "Barksdale," "Nine Mile" and the newly released "Glizzy Glock."

The songs pull inspiration from mountains, roads, restaurants, nightlife and ordinary moments that cannot be generated from a prompt because they come from lived experience.

"A computer doesn't know what it feels like for me to drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains or have a ridiculous night downtown and turn it into a song title," she said. "That's the human part."

Technology Without Losing the Artist

KayeDinero's broader work spans software development, financial analytics, TradingView tools, independent media and aerial cinematography.

Her three-track project Kulture Metrics reflects that technical side, while Human Error explores the tension between structure and instinct.

She says the two ideas are not opposites.

"I love technology," KayeDinero said. "I just don't believe the tool should become more important than the person using it."

Her recent single "Cass Tech" also reconnects her current Asheville chapter with her Detroit roots.

KayeDinero says listeners should experience the music directly before allowing search engines, recommendation systems or AI summaries to explain the artist for them.
