PASADENA, Md. - s4story -- Creative James Media, a small press located in Pasadena, Maryland, announced it has signed author Ashley Hawthorne for a standalone romance novel. Death Sentence will release in April 2024.

Eloise Mason has always been a little uptight. She has a stable job, a nonexistent dating schedule, and a perfectly maintained home in just the right neighborhood. Nothing unexpected ever happens to her and that's just the way she likes it.

That all changes when Ethan Callaghan moves in next door. She isn't in any hurry to forgive him for the late-night parties, roaring motorcycle engines, and wicked smiles that were nowhere in her plans. He's as stubborn as he is charming, but her softening heart is broken when someone close to her is murdered.

As the stakes rise and the killer closes in, she'll have to decide if trusting Ethan will save her life or be a death sentence.

A homeschooling mom for more than a decade, she needed a new challenge when her rapidly growing students began to become more independent.
