ATLANTA - s4story -- Atlanta author Danielle Singleton has been named the 2026 Georgia Author of the Year in the Mystery/Detective category for her novel, Revenge.
Presented by the Georgia Writers Association, the Georgia Author of the Year Awards recognize excellence in books written by Georgia authors or featuring Georgia subjects. This year's contest attracted more than 100 nominated titles, making Singleton's selection a significant achievement.
In their evaluation, contest judges praised Revenge as a "gripping" and "immersive" murder mystery that "grabs the reader from the very first page." They commended the novel's compelling storytelling, richly developed characters, and expertly crafted suspense.
Revenge, Singleton's eighth novel, centers on the Morris family, whose wealth, influence, and seemingly perfect life on one of Wyoming's most prestigious ranches are shattered when beloved son-in-law Jonathan Walsh is found murdered. As Police Chief Will Shuler investigates what appears to be a straightforward homicide, he uncovers a web of family betrayals, hidden motives, and dangerous deception. With every new revelation, it becomes clear that Jonathan Walsh was not the man everyone believed him to be—and that someone will stop at nothing to keep long-buried secrets from coming to light.
