Author Halima Ramsey of Kansas City Announces Book Consulting Opportunity With KLM Scripts to develop children books and other literary works. KLM Scripts CEO La'Nardo Myrick confirms the announcement.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - s4story -- Author Halima Ramsey, a graduate of Park University and assistant coach of the college, will kick off a new children's book in 2021. Riley Freeman, an introspective teenager and her family move to Kansas City, MO. With a new school and everything, Riley is left alone to navigate the ups and downs of being the "NEW" kid and learning everything again. Riley Freeman speaks volumes to what many teenagers deal with when their families move and relocate to a new city. Now, Riley must figure out a new school, new rules, new people and a new routine. Riley's social bargaining chip and automatic way into the "New" school is with sports. Riley Freeman is a high school basketball player. While she feels alone and that no one understands her plight, she isn't. With the wisdom of an ever present coach, Riley is headed toward "New" in an old way.
"KLM Scripts is delighted to be moving into the children's book category with The Big Move," said La'Nardo Myrick, CEO OF KLM Scripts, a subsidiary of KLM Enterprises Services LLC. "Halima's has a story that is charming and funny, and the way she integrates hope and teenage fear into the Riley character is completely natural and organic, never rushed or heavy-handedly didactic. With me assisting the editing, it was so relatable to help explain these emotions of Riley. I am sure many have felt these emotions Riley felt. Riley Freeman feels like a real teenager dealing with real issues, and we know that kids are going to fall in love with her. Hopefully, this one book can expand and share more of Halim and Riley with the world" La'Nardo Myrick said.
