S For Story/10437617
CHARLESTON, W.Va. - s4story -- Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., of Johnson City, Tennessee, is proud to announce that author Kathleen M. Jacobs is developing WV Kids Write!
WV Kids Write is a remote creative writing class intended to encourage and teach creative writing among middle grade students in a rural area of West Virginia. Kathleen M. Jacobs will be working with Katy Smith, a talented and passionate educator at Pratt Elementary School.
During the program, Jacobs will supply a monthly writing prompt. Ms. Smith will email the students' creative responses to Jacobs for feedback and comments. Smith and Jacobs are thrilled to have this opportunity to further promote a love of reading and writing among students. Should the project thrive, they would love to see it expand to other students and schools.
Kathleen M. Jacobs is an award winning author and former teacher of English and Creative Writing. She was the 2017 New River Gorge Writer-in-Residence. Her titles include Sophie & the Bookmobile, Honeysuckle Holiday, Marble Town, Betsy Blossom Brown, and more.
