CT author publishes unique novel aimed at raising funds for social change.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - s4story -- "Madame Chartreuse Sweet 66's," an ambitious literary work of fiction, has been published with the goal of tithing portions of its proceeds to bring a bit of equity to an unequal world.
J.P Hugo Vargas, an educator, musician, adventurer, and author, has released "Madame Chartreuse Sweet 66's," an impressive novel of Literary Fiction and Magical Realism. The novel was written and published with the aim of helping fund educational and equitable opportunities in communities needing active social engagement.
"Madame Chartreuse Sweet 66's," hearkens to Latin American authors like J.L Borges, and Gabriel Garcia Marquez, with the distinct voice of an Argentine-American author who grew up educated in the Unites States. The style is new, unique, and shows intense creativity and deep scholarship. The author's voice is established and distinct. J.P. Hugo Vargas used his deep study of the classics, mythology, the concepts of language as power, story-telling, philosophy, intimate experiences with discomfort, and his history as a linguist and professor as its foundation.

Besides being composed as a vehicle for his gift of writing and his unique ideas, the ultimate idea is that part of its profits be used to move other people forward who lack the resources to advocate properly and equitably for themselves. His years spent travelling and researching conflict abroad, his life as a liminal child of immigrants, and the depth of his academic studies, have led him to create, share, and to help when possible.
"Madame Chartreuse Sweet 66's" has been called "uplifting, and occasionally disturbing," It was written to illicit visceral emotions; for the readers to challenge the ideas and concepts found posited in its loose narrative, and to bring about unique conversations. Being called "wholly original and Ambitious," J.P. Hugo Vargas' "Madame Chartreuse Sweet 66's," does not shy away from ambition. Vargas set out to make as deep a cut as he could into the broad literary zeitgeist with this unique novel, and to use his creative agency to attempt social change.
All of Vargas' art-work, books, and photography, are constructed to have proceeds tithed towards the forward movement of people whose growth has been halted by no fault of their own.
