Award-Winning Author Martin Roy Hill releases WWII thriller inspired by true events
S For Story/10598035
In the waning days of WWII, an American commando team races to save the destiny of the world by finding the legendary Spear of Destiny before it can fall into Nazi or Russian hands.
SAN DIEGO - s4story -- Independent publisher 32-32 North is pleased to announce the release of Martin Roy Hill's new WWII thriller, Codename: Parsifal.
In the waning days of WWII, an American commando team races to save the destiny of the world by finding the legendary Spear of Destiny before it can fall into Nazi or Russian hands.
The Spear of Destiny is said to be the Roman Legionnaire's lance that pierced Christ's body as he hung on the cross. Legend claims whomever possesses the spear will become a great conqueror. But if they lose it, they will lose everything—including their lives.
Shortly before WWII, Hitler stole the spear from a museum in Vienna. In the last weeks of the European war, he lost it. General George Patton orders an American OSS team to find the spear and recover it. Unknown to the Americans, both the Russians and the Germans have also sent commando teams to retrieve it.
More on S For Story
In the dying embers of Europe's largest conflagration, the three teams are on a collision course that will lead them to one of the evilest places on earth—the ideological heart of the Nazi SS.
Midwest Book Review says, "Codename: Parsifal is just the ticket for those seeking a thoroughly forceful read." The BookLife Prize says, "Hill is no stranger to historical fiction and it shows. His attention to detail and knowledge is ever apparent and add depth to the already intriguing plot (which is itself based on true events)."
Hill, a former journalist and military analyst, is the author of ten novels and one book on military history. They include two national award-winning series, the Peter Brandt mysteries, and the Linus Schag, NCIS, thrillers. Codename: Parsifal is available in paperback from most major book retailers and as an e-book from Amazon.com. An audiobook is currently in production.
