Bay Area Student Launches Three Free Apps to Democratize College Planning for All Students
S For Story/10699219
CollegeCompass, ScholarsCompass, and HomeworkHelper are now live on Google Play and the web — free, no login required
DALY CITY, Calif. - s4story -- A Bay Area student has launched the Compass Family, a suite of three free mobile and web applications designed to give every student access to the college planning resources typically reserved for families who can afford private counselors.
The three apps — CollegeCompass, ScholarsCompass, and HomeworkHelper — are now live on Google Play and accessible on any device via web browser, completely free with no account or login required.
CollegeCompass (http://college.compassowl.com) provides personalized college matches based on a student's GPA, test scores, state, and financial profile. It uses real government data to calculate net cost estimates — what a student will actually pay after financial aid — helping families make informed decisions without the guesswork.

ScholarsCompass - gives students access to a searchable database of 9,500+ scholarships filtered by state, grade level, field of interest, and award type. It also includes a career explorer powered by U.S. Department of Labor data, showing real salary ranges and job growth projections.
HomeworkHelper - uses artificial intelligence to instantly generate study notes, flashcards, and practice tests on any subject — making high-quality study tools available to every student.
Private college counselors charge $200 or more per hour, putting personalized guidance out of reach for millions of families. The Compass Family apps were built to close that gap.
All three apps are 100% free, require no login, have no ads, and are available on Android and any web browser across 176 countries.
About Compass Family: Compass Family is an independent developer based in the San Francisco Bay Area building free educational tools for students. Compass Family was founded by Elise C, a Bay Area high school student with a passion for educational equity and access. Learn more at http://compassowl.com.
