No female President just yet, but Shawna Roppolo made History last night as the first female to ever win the coveted Rhinestone Cowboy Crown at the National Barbecue and Grilling Association's (NBBQA) "I Am BBQ 2018" Conference in years. Serendipitously, the Crown was awarded by NBBQA's first female former President Linda Orrison of The Shed BBQ, who was earlier heard to say "I have the feeling this years Winner will be in Heels". For sake of propriety BBQ RESCUES! Foundation won't list the names of BBQ Legends that Roppolo beat. Let's just say her reputation as a blindly judged SCA (Steak Cookoff Society) Grill Master (tress?) is growing by leaps and bounds. Congratulations Shawna!
