Before Drake Was Drake, KayeDinero Was Already Watching Aubrey Graham
S For Story/10702781
As Drake prepares to premiere "FOMO," KayeDinero releases "Kulture Metrics" and reflects on an influence that began with Degrassi.
ATLANTA - s4story -- Before Drake became one of the biggest artists in the world, KayeDinero remembers watching Aubrey Graham play Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation.
For the Detroit-raised artist, producer, software professional and entrepreneur, Drake's career has been more than a playlist presence. She has watched his evolution from actor to rapper, singer and global cultural force.
The timing feels especially fitting.
KayeDinero has just released Kulture Metrics, a three-track project featuring "Red Sea," "Drone Pilot" and "One World," while Drake prepares to premiere Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) on Sept. 15. Drake recently revealed that FOMO is a "not so short film" directed and scored by his creative circle.

"I was an Aubrey Graham fan before the world experienced Drake at this scale," KayeDinero said. "What always inspired me was the evolution. He never had to erase one version of himself to become the next one."
From Degrassi to Two Real-Life Encounters
KayeDinero says their paths crossed twice more than a decade ago.
During college, she attended a Drake performance at Michigan State University and later participated in a Skype fan interaction. Years later, she encountered him again at P.F. Chang's inside Los Angeles' Beverly Center and asked him for a photograph.
"At the time, I was meeting an artist I admired," KayeDinero said. "Now I'm a producer building my own catalog and businesses. I'd love for the next conversation to happen creator to creator."
Atlanta, Kulture Metrics and Reinvention
Atlanta became an important chapter in KayeDinero's own evolution before her move to Asheville, North Carolina.

Her new release Kulture Metrics also reflects her refusal to stay in one lane. Her work spans music production, Python and software development, financial-market analysis, TradingView indicators, entrepreneurship and aerial cinematography.
"One thing I admire about Drake is that the audience learned to follow the person, not just one sound," she said. "I understand that more now than ever."
A future Drake collaboration remains on KayeDinero's creative wish list.
"I'd want us to make something neither of us expected."
