Billy Dixon Releases the First in New Series
S For Story/10381923
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - s4story -- Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., of Johnson City, Tennessee, is proud to announce the release of They by Billy Dixon.
Billy Dixon is the author of several books, including the chapter book series' Patty Paper and Backyard Bones. After a decade of working as a sports writer for the Kingsport Times-News, he shifted his career to the world of children's literature and currently works for Scholastic Book Fairs. He has performed author presentations at more than 300 schools and spoken to hundreds of thousands of students. Originally from Kingsport, Tennessee, Dixon now lives in Huntersville, North Carolina with his wife, Robin, and two daughters, Reed and Allie.
They is the first book in Dixon's new series, The Origin Society. They follows the story of Jess and Jace Grisham, who wake alone on the first day of spring break to an unusually quiet house. Rick Grisham is a conspiracy theorist determined to find "proof" that aliens have visited Earth and the government is covering it up. The twins realize their father may have stumbled into something real this time when a Special Ops team crashes into their house through every door and window. Narrowly escaping through a hidden basement tunnel they never knew existed, Jess and Jace set off on a harrowing adventure to find their father before those in the government.

They has been reviewed by the New York Times bestselling author of Refugee and Grenade, Alan Gratz, who had the following to say, "Part Escape to Witch Mountain, part Jason Bourne, all adventure!"
When asked his hopes for his new release, Dixon responded that his goal with The Origin Society: They "was to write a book geared toward upper elementary and middle school-aged students, but in a voice that would hold the attention and appeal to even the oldest, most advanced reader. Dixon is already prepping for a second in The Origin Society series, Us.
They can be purchased through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and through Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc.
