Blackgate & Co. Deepens Artemis Engagement as NASA Nears First Moon Landing Since 1972

U.S.-Based Defense Company Builds on Ground-Level Artemis II Presence to Support Mission-Critical Infrastructure and Logistics for Next Chapter of Human Space Exploration
WASHINGTON - s4story -- Blackgate & Co. (blackgateandco.com), a U.S.-based defense and infrastructure company, announced the deepening of its engagement with NASA's Artemis program as the nation prepares for Artemis III, targeted for late 2027, and Artemis IV, the first crewed Moon landing since Apollo 17 in 1972, targeted for early 2028.
With Artemis II having successfully launched from Kennedy Space Center on April 1, 2026, sending humans farther into space than at any time since 1972, NASA and its industry ecosystem are now in full operational stride. Hardware for the Artemis III Space Launch System arrived at Kennedy Space Center by barge in April 2026, with rocket assembly actively underway. The pace of the program has never been greater, and neither has the demand for trusted ground-level infrastructure support.

Blackgate has been part of the Artemis ecosystem since before this milestone. The firm was present on the ground during Artemis II operations at Kennedy Space Center, building relationships, learning mission requirements firsthand, and developing a direct understanding of the infrastructure, logistics, and site coordination demands that underpin one of the most operationally complex programs in the history of human spaceflight. That ground-level investment now positions Blackgate to contribute meaningfully as the program advances toward its most historic missions.
"Artemis is not just a space program. It is a defining national mission," said Terrell Tutt, Chief Executive Officer of Blackgate & Co. "We were there during Artemis II. We saw what this program requires at the ground level, the infrastructure, the coordination, the precision, and we built our capabilities around being able to support it. Our commitment is to be part of seeing this mission through, from Artemis III all the way to the Moon landing on Artemis IV and beyond."

Blackgate is pursuing support opportunities within the Kennedy Space Center base operations and mission support industry ecosystem, with capabilities targeting payload logistics coordination, operationally secure site management, ground-level mission support infrastructure, and facilities coordination across the Space Coast. The firm is actively engaged with prime contractors and industry partners supporting Artemis program operations as it advances its pursuit pipeline for Artemis III and Artemis IV support roles.
The Artemis program represents a convergence of national security, scientific discovery, and human achievement that Blackgate & Co. is committed to supporting at every level within its operational mandate. As the program builds toward at least one major mission per year, Blackgate intends to be part of that cadence, at every level, from launch preparation to mission execution.
