Synopsis: Emma Peterson's interactions with her mother, Rose, changed after her mother became ill. One day her life was forever changed when her mother passed away leaving her a necklace and her father to raise her alone. Emma's father held onto the necklace that had previously always hung around her mother's neck, until she was a little older.

Emma is reunited with the necklace while at a summer camp her mother once attended. Upon closing the clasp on her neck she is whisked away to a memory at that very same bunk. She walks in mother's footsteps and see life through her eyes. This wasn't the only one, Emma learns that the necklace has many moments to share with her. These memories seem to appear at just the right time in Emma's life and help her get to know the mother she lost. Through the years the necklace continues to bring her glimpses of her mother by way of these memories. Each one is able to give Emma insight into her mother, herself, and even helps when she becomes a mother to Aurora. Now that she has a daughter, she is able to fully appreciate all that her mother was. April Waverly grew up in Connecticut working as an accountant while always exploring creative outlets.
During her pregnancy with her first daughter a conversation with her mother inspired a story. After the idea was sparked she sat and wrote her first book 'One Shared Heart'. Through moments with her growing daughter and memories of her own she continued to find inspiration for the story. Since completing that first book, ideas continue to find her and demand that she share their stories as well.
