However, as was the lingering virtue of hope always on the minds of the natives, it still quivers underground as a conquest in this novel. To have an 'historical dig' begins now on the tumultuous grounds of the once: Lone Moon Creek.
Would giving this task to a summer class of college students be the best decision? Other than receiving a small wage and a three-hour credit toward their diploma, would they have any interest in the "old junk" buried underground? After all, they have been so far removed from the ways of earlier history, how could it be meaningful?
The reactions of Jag, Naomi, Simon and Willow will pull at your heartstrings as they unearth everything from Esther's butchering knives to Fletcher's gardening cart to the old-fashioned hairdresser salon supplies to learning how to relieve retirement stress by untangling things.
Ironically, their preconceived notions of only hardship for the old coggers of bygone days, brings out their own insecurities and failures. Discover how Jag regains the real history of his family through this exploration of the forgotten wares used by the folks from yesteryear.

So, as is asked in Book One of the Lone Moon Creek series: Who are the people of rural America? Are they the forgotten breed? Will they ever matter again? They did matter …They mattered right up and through the earth, history and love.
Teresa's books have received continual acclaim in the market being compared to the works of Laura Ingalls Wilder in her Little House Series. Teresa's books have firmly established her as a recognized professional novelist in the literary world.
