SAN DIEGO, April 2, 2024 ~ Bumble Bee Seafoods, a leading seafood company, has announced the appointment of Andrew Choe as their new Chief Executive Officer. Choe will officially take on the role on April 1, after being appointed by Jerry Chou, Bumble Bee's Chair of the Board. Chou will continue to serve in his current role while also having served as Interim CEO since July 2022.

According to Chou, "Our company is on an upward trajectory with great momentum in place. Andrew is the right leader at the right time to further transform our business and take us to new heights." He also praised Choe's knowledge and expertise in the industry and his people-focused leadership style.

Choe brings over a decade of experience in the seafood industry to his new role at Bumble Bee. He previously worked at StarKist for two years as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Operations before being promoted to CEO for eight years. During his tenure, he was heavily involved in all aspects of the business, including supply chain management, manufacturing, customer relations, and brand building. Most recently, Choe served as CEO for SENSEE World, a company that provides products for the visually impaired community.

In his statement about joining Bumble Bee Seafoods, Choe expressed excitement about the company's direction and his role in it. "I look forward to unleashing the potential of the company with an immediate focus on continuing to grow the brand and cultivating relationships with our key customers, suppliers, and employees," he said.

Choe holds degrees in psychology and economics from the University of California Los Angeles and an MBA from Yale with concentrations in finance and operations management. He currently resides in Pittsburgh but will soon be relocating to San Diego to join Bumble Bee's company offices.

With Choe's extensive experience and leadership skills, Bumble Bee Seafoods is confident that he will help drive their continued success in the seafood industry.
