Award-winning Canadian board game Centrix 环环争先 to be released in China this July through leading Chinese publisher Yaofish
TORONTO - s4story -- Analog Game Studios, the Toronto-based independent board game publisher, today announced a landmark international licensing agreement with Yaofish, a powerhouse in the Chinese board game industry operating alongside its manufacturing arm Gameland, for the release of Centrix in the Chinese market this July.
Under the agreement, Yaofish will publish a Chinese edition of Centrix themed around a family hill climbing race, bringing the game's signature rotating ring pyramid game board to one of the world's fastest growing board game markets. The Chinese edition will retain the core mechanics that earned Centrix its reputation as one of Canada's most distinctive and innovative board game designs, while adapting the theme and presentation for Chinese audiences.
"This is a significant milestone for Analog Game Studios and for Centrix," said Richard MacRae, President and Publisher at Analog Game Studios. "The Chinese board game market represents an extraordinary opportunity and we're thrilled that Yaofish saw the game's potential and created a unique edition specifically for Chinese players. It's exciting to see the game interpreted through a new cultural lens while maintaining the gameplay experience that makes Centrix so distinctive."
